Hello my dear ~~ as you know, I broke my arm and now I'm just sitting at home. The weather in my country is getting colder and it makes me really sad! At such a time, I would like to be closer with you, I want you to know more about me as well as I about you!So I decided to tell you a little about myself :) maybe you already know this, or maybe you forgot something. But I will be glad if you write me a little about your real life too. I really want to know what you love?Well, let's start) you know my name is Delana, but I like it when my friends just call me Lana. I live in Russia, in the city of St. Petersburg. I like this city for its architecture, it is very beautiful! But it is very difficult for me to live here because of the climate. I really do not like the cold and I would really like to move to live near the sea one day. Now I am continuing my studies at the university as an economist and I love it! Although I would like to try learning something else. I like to travel. I like meeting new people, seeing different landscapes, different cultures. It's so interesting! And I really love my family. I didn't understand this before, but over time I realized that family is the most important thing in our life! Therefore, many of my dreams are associated with my family. I want them to be proud of me and help them make the wonderful life they have always tried to give me. And by the way, I really like watching movies and reading books in my free time. Maybe you can advise me something? When I get back online I would like to tell you about my emotions about your favorite book or movie)Because there is not much time left and I will come back and look forward to our new meeting! And now I wish you a wonderful weekend and don't forget me hehe, because I constantly think about you ~&'¤ï¸ kisses ~~
Know and do not do
The young man came to the sage with a request to accept him as a disciple. " Can you lie?" the sage asked. "Of course not! "And steal?" " No. "And ki1l?" " No... - so go and learn all this, - exclaimed the sage " - and having learned, do not do it!
Mottos of life
If it's hard for you, then you're climbing a mountain. If it's easy for you, then you're flying into the abyss.
The Chained Elephant
When I was a yo0ung boy I really loved the circus, and most of all the animals I was fascinated by the Elephant, which I later I found out, is the favorite animal of all ki1ds. During the show the big animal was demonstrating its huge weight, its size and strength&'¦ but, after the show and before he had to return back to the stage, the elephant was standing tied up to a small pole in the ground. A chain was keeping its feet imprisoned. Nevertheless, the pole was really tiny and hardly dug into the ground. Although the chain was big and strong, it seemed obvious to me that an animal with the strength to uproot trees could easily break free and walk away. I thought of it as a mystery. What was keeping him? Why wouldn&'t he run away? When I was 5 or 6 years old I still believed in grownup wisdom. I asked my teacher, my father and my uncle, of the mystery of the Elephant. Someone explained to me that the elephant had been tamed. So I made the obvious question: &'If he has been tamed, why do they have to keep him chained?&' I don&'t remember getting a satisfactory answer. In time I forgot the mystery of the chained Elephant to the pole and remembered it only when in the company of people who have had once held the same question on the subject.Few years ago I discovered that someone was wise enough to find the answer. The Elephant of the circus is not running away, because he is used to that very same pole from a very young age.I closed my eyes and I imagined the newly born defenseless Elephant tied to the pole. I am sure that back then the little Elephant pushed and pulled and sweated trying to get free. But, in spite of all his efforts, he didn&'t succeed because the pole was too strong for him. I imagined him sleeping exhausted and next day trying again, and the day after the same&'¦&'¦Until one day, an awful day in his history, the animal admitted to his weakness and submitted to his destiny. This enormous and powerful elephant we can see in the circus is not running away because the poor animal thinks he can&'t. The memory of the weakness he felt shortly after his birth is forever engraved in his mind. And the worst is that he never questioned seriously this memory. He never tried to test his strength&'¦This is how it is. We are all more or less like the Elephant of the circus. We travel around the world chained to hundreds of poles that take away our freedom. We live believing &'We can&'t&' do so many things just because once, a long time ago, when we were young, we tried and we didn&'t succeed. Then the same thing happened to us as to the Elephant. The same message &'was engraved in our memory&': I can&'t I can&'t, and I never will.We live inside the boundaries of a memory of the person we were once and who doesn&'t exist anymore. That person didn&'t make it.The only way to find out if we can, is by trying again with all the power of our soul&'¦all the power of our soul.Dedicated to all those still chained to small or big poles, not being conscious of their enormous strength, afraid of taking a step forward&'¦
USA
What have we known about the United States from our English lessons? Firstly, when we hear these words, we imagine Hollywood or Disneyland, casinos of Las Vegas, Malibu beach with tanned rescuers, obesity and other beaten clichés of the broken American dream. But in reality, we should associate this country with freedom of the speech and action, with the tolerance and equality. Maybe, we have our rights and privileges thanks to its example.Americans are really proud to be American and have many reasons for this. Congressmen tried to rename the country as &'the United States of the World&' at the dawn of the twentieth century. It's no wonder that aged people who were born in the Soviet Union are afraid that the US will set the world domination up but it has already happened. It is not fun because all the famous trends in popular and alternative culture were developed there before becoming a piece of our life. You have a possibility to enjoy favorite films, games and music compositions, communicate in popular social networks, and have your &'Happy Meal&'.But joking aside, America can help you understand who you are: an innocent Flower Ch1ild, a stern metalhead or a member of Millennium generation. You also can choose the green activity, harsh punk way or make your own lifestyle using this culture heritage. Actually, the USA conquered our streets, homes and hearts.Kind-hearted Uncle Sam will treat you with ham and tell how to become strong and independent from the ch1ildhood. When you live in the States in your teenage, you may earn your own pocket money and don&'t ask your dad or mum about it. You may start to stash for your future car, because if you are 16 you may drive your own. After 18 a large number of teens lives alone or rents a house without parents. But you will be able to celebrate your new dwelling and drink beer with your friends only after 21.Discovering America, we can find more interesting and wonderful facts about it. You may not be a fan of the activities of the States, but you should respect their contribution to the world culture
About the insult
In the East, there was a wise man who taught his disciples: "People insult in three ways. They may say that you are stupid, they may call you a slave, they may call you incompetent. If this happens to you, remember the simple truth: only a fool will call another a fool, only a slave seeks a slave in another, only a mediocre person justifies what he does not understand with someone else's madness."
Danger of the plastic waste
Every year more than 300 million tons of plastic are not recycled. The consequences for the nature are very serious, especially for the oceans. According to the American magazine &'~Science&' the oceans contain more than 110 million tons of plastic waste.Whole islands are covered by waste, such as Henderson Island. It is situated in the South Pacific Ocean. There is 17 million tons of waste accumulated near the island.Apart from the aesthetic inconvenience, this waste threatens animals and birds. These are a half of the seabirds and at least 200 species of fish, crustaceans and mammals living in the oceans. The main danger and harm is that they confuse this waste with the food.Earlier the explorers discovered deserted islands with the beaches of fine sand. But what will the explorers find in a future? If a future person discovers an island, there is a great probability that this island will be made only by plastic waste.

Parable of life: It's good
An African king had a close friend who he grew up with. This friend, considering any situation that ever happened in his life, whether it was positive or negative, had a habit of saying: "This is good!"Once the king was hunting. A friend used to prepare and load guns for the king. Obviously, he had done something wrong in preparing one of the guns. When the king took his friend's gun and fired it, his thumb was torn off. Exploring the situation, the friend as usual said: "This is good!"To this the king replied:" No, it is not good!"and ordered his friend to be sent to prison. About a year passed, and the king hunted in an area where he thought he could be completely safe. But the cannibals took him prisoner and brought him to their village along with all the others. They tied his hands, dragged a pile of wood, set up a pole, and tied the king to a post. As they came closer to light the fire, they noticed that the king's thumb was missing. Because of their superstition, they never ate someone who had a disability in the body. Having untied the king, they let him go. When he returned home, he remembered the time when he had lost a finger, and felt remorse for his treatment of his friend. He went straight to the prison to talk to him. &'" You were right, "he said," it was a good thing I lost my finger. And he told me everything that had just happened to him. &'" I'm sorry I put you in jail, it was bad of me. "No," said his friend. &'" What are you saying?" Is it a good thing that I put my friend in jail for a year? &'" If I wasn't in prison, I'd be there with you."
The parable of the butterfly
Once a butterfly doll fell into the hands of a man. He took it and examined it for several hours, seeing how it struggled to squeeze its body out of the small hole in the cocoon. As time went on, she kept trying to get out of the cocoon, but there was no progress. It seemed that she was completely exhausted and could no longer... Then the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and cut the cocoon to the end. The butterfly came out of it easily, but its body was somewhat atrophied, small, and its wings folded and compressed. The man continued to watch her, expecting that at any moment she would open her wings and fly. But that didn't happen. For the rest of its life, the butterfly was left with a deformed body and glued wings. She could never spread her wings and fly. People didn't know that the tight cocoon and the incredible efforts of the butterfly to exit the small holes were needed to the body has taken proper shape and to a strong body wings joined forces and she was ready to fly as soon as freed from the cocoon. Morality: Don't help if you don't know how or if you're not sure that your help will actually be useful. Don't interfere with the nature of things you didn't create. Otherwise, you can just hurt.
Crime and Punishment
If we look into history we shall find that laws are conventions between men in a state of freedom. By justice we understand nothing more than the bond which is necessary to keep the interest of individuals united, without which men would return to their original state of barbarity. All punishments which exceed the necessity of preserving this bond are unjust in their nature. The result of any punishment should be no other than prevention a criminal from doing further injury to society, and prevention others from committing the like offence. Therefore there ought to be chosen such punishments and such modes of inflicting them that make the strongest and most lasting impressions on the minds of others, with the least torment to the body of the criminal. The torture of a criminal during the course of his trial is a cruelty consecrated by custom in most nations. It is used with an intent either to make him confess in his crime, or to explain some contradiction into which he had been led during his examination, or discover his accomplices, or for some kind of metaphysical and incomprehensible purgation of infamy, or, finally, in order to discover other crimes of which he is not accused of, but of which he may be guilty. No man can be judged a criminal until he is found guilty; nor can society take from him the public protection until it has been proved that he has violated the conditions on which it was granted. In the eye of the law, every man is innocent until his crime has been proved. Crimes are more effectually prevented by the certainty than the severity of punishment. The more cruel the punishments become, the more hardened and insensible people turn to be. All severity is superfluous, and therefore tyrannical. The death penalty is pernicious to society, it is the example of barbarity. If the passions, or the necessity of war, have taught men to shed blo0od of their fellow creatures, the laws, which are intended to moderate the ferocity of mankind, should not increase it by examples of barbarity. It is even more horrible that this punishment is usually attended with formal pageantry. Isn't it absurd, that the laws, which detest and punish homicide, should, in order to prevent murd3er, publicly commit murd3er themselves? It is better to prevent crimes than to punish them. This should be the fundamental principle of any good legislation.
Don't lose your good heart
One day the old man saw a snake dying in the fire, and decided to pull it out of the flames. When he did this, the snake bit him, causing unbearable pain. He threw the snake away, and it fell back into the fireThen the old man grabbed a metal pole, pulled the snake out of the flames and saved her lifeOne of the students who had been watching this addressed him respectfully"Father, this snake bit you, why are you still trying to save it?»The elder replied: "the nature of reptiles is to bite, but this should not change my nature-to help."Don't change your identity just because someone has hurt you.Don't lose your good heart, but learn to take precautions.
Parable: Pupils, camels and the wall.
There was a Teacher, to whom two came and asked to become his students. He agreed, telling them that he had taken them with a three-month probationary period. For ninety days, the Master did not give them assignments, did not conduct conversations with them, and did not invite them to meetings. When the trial period expired, he called them into the yard and said: - I want you to go out of the gate; there are camels. Let each of you take one camel by the bridle and, having crossed the wall, drag the camel through it. The first student said: &'Master, I heard what is said: use your mind.&' My mind tells me that this is impossible, and my intuition tells me that you gave me this task to check whether I have common sense or not. &'So, you will not try to drag a camel over the wall?&' &'I will not, Master, and may it not look like disobedience.&' Then the Master turned to the second student: - And what will you answer? Without saying a word, the student went out of the gate, and headed for the camels. He took the bridle and, bringing the camel to the wall, tried to climb it, but nothing came of it, since he held the bridle in his hand. &'Enough,&' said the Master, &'return the animal to its place and return.&' After a few minutes, they, all three, stood in the courtyard, and the Master said: &'Everyone knows that the Path requires a variety of abilities from a walker. This includes the mind and common sense, and obedience and more. Obedience is just as important as intelligence and common sense. Everyone who has tried to teach someone something knows that people prefer to use their intellect and sense of common sense instead of obedience, thus violating the balance of these three qualities. Most people think that finding a witty way out is preferable to doing what they say to you, although in fact none of these things are more important than others. Now we can find intellectuals everywhere, but where to get people who are able to obey? So, the first student did not pass the test, because he gives too much importance to intelligence. The second will remain with me, since he did not fall into the temptation of the evidence that cuts us off from our abilities, the Master turned to the second student and asked him why he tried to do the impossible. He answered: &'I knew that you know that this is impossible, so there was no harm in obedience, since I saw what it was leading to.&' I felt like saying, &'This is impossible. I won&'t try because of common sense &'it was easiest. Everyone has enough common sense to give up obedience. So I thought you were checking if I could obey and give up easy decisions.
Pollution
Man has been trying to make his life easier for many centuries. In doing so, he invented machines and instruments. They have been working - and polluting the world we live in.In this world around us, there are two things that do not belong to any one country: air and ocean water. In both the air and the water, there is much pollution. People are concerned about the air and the water used by everyone, and they are also concerned about the future of the Earth. One of the most important pollution problems is in the oceans. Many ships sail in the ocean water - fishing ships, some ships carrying people, some carrying oil. If a ship loses some of the oil in the water, or trash from the ships is put into the ocean, the water becomes dirty. Many birds and fish die because of the polluted water. Many fish are dying in the sea, others are getting contaminated. Fishermen catch contaminated fish which may be sold in markets and people may get sick from eating them. Fish may also move to another part of the ocean. Lakes and rivers are getting polluted, too. Some beaches are considered dangerous for swimming. The second important problem is air pollution. Cars and factories pollute the air we use. It also destroys the ozone layer which protects the Earth from the dangerous light of the Sun.Another problem is that our forests are dying from acid rain. This, in turn, affects the balance of nature. If we want our chi1ldren to live in the same world we live in, or in a better and healthier world, we must learn to protect the water, the air and the earth from pollution.
Animals in South America
South America is famous for its wild animals. There are many kinds. We saw some of them. We drove to the jungle in the north of Brazil. We were really lucky. We walked very quietly and we saw a jaguar. It is a kind of South American cheetah. It was beautiful and very fast. I was really scared. I think Jaguars like eating hedgehogs! Then we went by boat up the Amazon river in the east of Brazil. It is the biggest river in South America. We saw alligators there. They were three metres long, fast and have big teeth! They are like crocodiles. We didn&'t stay there long. We didn&'t know. Maybe alligators like eating hedgehogs too!In Brazil we took a helicopter to the desert. There we met an unusual animal: an armadillo. Armadillos aren&'t very big but they are very strong. They have got a &'~house&' on their backs like a tortoise. Armadillos don&'t eat hedgehogs &'" they eat insects! The last animal we saw in the forest in Brazil was a vampire bat. It was small and slow but &'¦ Heeeeelp! Do you know the story of Dracula? He met a vampire bat. It drank his blo0od. We didn&'t stay long in that forest
